Divisions
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Purpose: To provide professional engineering service for infrastructure development.
- Manage implementation of infrastructure projects of the municipality
- Provide project coordination services for inter-governmental capital projects within municipal area
- Manage and coordinate the spending on the approved capital budget
- Oversee the handing over of completed projects to beneficiaries
ROADS AND STORMWATER
Purpose: To provide effective maintenance and construction of roads and stormwater infrastructure.
- Ensure construction and maintenance of roads and stormwater infrastructure
- Provide facility management services and maintenance of municipal buildings
- Provide quality roads and storm water systems to the communities
WATER AND SANITATION
Purpose: To provide water and sanitation services to the community and ensure compliance with relevant legislations.
- Manage the abstraction of water from the source.
- Manage Laboratory services.
- Manage the treatment of wastewater
ELECTRICAL SERVICES
Purpose: To plan, construct and maintain an integrated network system which supplies electricity to the consumers.
- Ensure proper construction maintenance of electrical infrastructure
- Provide household and streetlighting services to the community
ENGINEERING PLANNING
Purpose: To provide infrastructure planning and designing services to the municipality
- Plan and design of municipal water, electrical and roads and stormwater related infrastructure
- Development of water & sanitation, electricity and roads and stormwater master plan
FLEET MANAGEMENT
Purpose: To ensure the efficient and cost-effective operation of the municipality's vehicles.
- Manage Licensing and registration services
- Manage fuel consumption, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing strategies to optimize fuel usage and reduce costs
